Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is Search Engine Positioning Important?

Approximately 90% of all Internet searches are controlled by the largest Search Engines - Google, MSN and Yahoo. Your Web site's location in the major search engines can make a huge difference in the amount of business you generate from the Internet.

How long will it take to see results?

Some search engines are faster to add Web sites than other search engines. The time it takes to get your company's Web site listed at the top of the search engines varies from one week to three or four months.

When should I begin promoting my site?

It is best to time your Web site promotion to correspond with the launch of your completed site.  However, promotion of your site should be an ongoing activity in order to maintain your visibility on the Internet. It is never too late to begin promoting your web site.

Why is it important for my site to be listed in the search engines and directories?

If your site is not in the search engines and directories, people won't be able to find it. The more quality search engines and directories your site appears in, the greater the possibility of being found. You want to make it as easy as possible for people to find your Web site so your site will receive lots of traffic and with lots of traffic comes more business.

Should I use a free or auto-submit service?

Generally, companies free or auto-submit services use automated computer programs or e-mail submission methods that broadcast your URL to many search engines. We recommend a much more thorough approach for commercial sites. Each submission is carefully completed to customize the data submitted to each directory in order to maximize the unique characteristics of that site.

What is Web site positioning and why is it important?

According the studies, over 80% of visitors to a web site generally find that site through a major search engine. But simply submitting your site to a search engine is rarely enough. For high visibility a web site needs to appear in the top 30 results of a of a search or most potential visitors will never find it. Obviously, only 20 web pages can occupy the top 20 positions. Each search engine uses different rules for determining which web pages occupy those positions. And unfortunately, they don't publicize those rules. Worse, the rules often change several times each year.

We improve your site’s chances of top placement with your unique keywords by designing your pages for specific phrases, optimized for each top search engine.
